I'm oddly fascinated with ancient history, especially those little tidbits of history where nobody really knows what happened to cause an event. Those events make my writer's mind wander. 

That was the case with my book the Granite Rose. 

It is set in a moment in time when events lined up because of circumstances no one could have predicted.
